Nice one Ronan! I’ve never though the audio quality was bad, I’ve seen that TeleVision thing, now that’s bad audio! We’d ( if I may speak for everyone… ) rather see you guys than you guys hidden behind a really well done mic setup!

Very cool. I usually pay to see stuff like this at industry shows or sign up at the local mega music shop and wait long line ups to hear interviews like this. Don’t sweat the quality. Getting this kind of insider info is rare for the most part.

hehe, I was kind of joking about the cash for product placement before, but it is nice to have the clarification too
great show, an interesting interview.

Great!Loved actually getting to hear from someone who make the products instead of just the marketing dept.
A mic-off with the u-47 would have be great but I guess that’ll wait until you’ve improved the sound.
By the way, who made those mic pre’s ?

To Heck with production, mistakes and flubs can be funny in the video world. just keep the Great content coming!
Thanks so much!!

Nice interview, thanks for taking the time to film it. And seriously, don’t worry about the sound. Audio engineering and videography are different jobs! The sound isn’t bad enough to detract from the content (unlike some other videos out there)

It is nice to see interviews with the people who design and make the equipment. Although I was lucky enough to see Dave Pearlman at your bootcamp, watching this is making me want one of his mics again.
Thanks for making this kind of info available to the masses. Don’t sweat the audio – especially if it’s an interview; it’s not like we are A/B’ing mic samples. This is a great service you are providing, Ronan.

Great episode, Ronan! I really enjoyed the extended interview. Maybe you can get Segal to fix you up with a couple lav mics, but I wouldn’t sweat it too much
i’m diggin’ the vids–keep up the good work!

As usual a very informative show. I’m heading over to Dave’s site now. As for the sound, I listened on my mono laptop!! Thanks for the show Ronan.

Interesting material Ronan, maybe you could do one with soemone who makes mic pre’s too. The content far outweighed any audio issues, didn’t even really notice, I was too busy paying attention to what was being said about making mic’s. Nice work!

Thanks Gary. I actually have a some things in the works for features on a few makers of some really cool mic pres (as well as EQs, comps, etc.

Fantastic interview! And don’t worry about your audio quality, it’s television. Dang, didn’t that remark just sound like a TV guy? Seriously, just like a good song, content trumps audio quality every time.
Always remember, the moment you accept sponsorships, your integrity will forever be questioned. It’s much better to have amateur production and unrestrained commentary than slick production values and a bitten tongue.
Keep up the GREAT work!
