I am so swamped mixing right now that I did not have a chance to do a fancy episode, but I took some time to answer a few reader questions. I also have feature a cool clip of Tay Zonday rockin’ the Chocolate Rain riff on the Fender Rhodes at my studio.
Download for your ipod here
Check out Tay’s video about working with me on Youtube (Bob Villa for amateur tracks?)

Hey Ronan!
I love it! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing with the world your deep well of knowledge!! My recordings have become 100% better because of you. THANKS! I also have a serious question. How do you get your hair to look so darn amazing? It’s a mix between “Fergie” and “Jesus”!
P.S. Hey BRUNNO! My Home Recording Boot Camp Brazilian Friend!

Even if I do the show for another 10 years, this will probably be the funniest comment post I ever get. – Ronan

I love the Rhodes…I have an old Wurlizer here…but Im the Biggest Steely Dan fan I know.
I like the KSM32 but only on the best voices and most instruments…an AT4047 is flattering on alot more people.
Did you know that the KSM32 was used almost exclusively on the newer Steely Dan CDs and Eddie Kramer rates it better than his Neumanns. (That a quote from the book “Behind the Glass”)

Ronan,
Thanks again for taking time out of your schedule and making another vid for us folks.
I’ll pass along one for you from my old days as a tech.
If you forget your comb/brush, you can hook us the oscillator and run 15-40Hz sweeps through the largest monitors you can find.
If you stand close enough to the drivers it will blow your hair back nicely!

Ronan,
Thank you for doing it all for us – your show is great! Karma will pay you back!;D
Just wanted to post a video of Dave Grohl tour of his garage where Foo Fighters actually recorded drums for their new album – as a answer to a mail you’ve got about recording drums in garage – http://youtu.be/PljU-A0MFsY – and this is reall major act as we all know – so sure you can record in a garage!:)
Thanx once again for doing this – greetings from Lithuania, Europe!:)
