In this episode I come to you from Hearst Castle (just the outside) and show you how some of the drum recording tips from previous episodes ended up in the final mix. Features tracks from Kathleen Blackwell, Hypnoise and The Ex-KGB
I also have some news about a drum recording master class I will be doing in the Washington DC area, July 16, 2010 at Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center. Tickets are $20 and available in advance. Details here.

Nice to hear these tunes mixed down. Great sound on Kathleen Blackwell’s album. I really like the incorporating limitations in the production process. Sounds like it worked out.

It is cool to see these elements as they were created in early stages and then find out how they all came together as finished work. Thanks for another interesting episode.
Can’t wait for the session at Chuck’s – see you there!
